Mehmet Coskun, hairdresser for over 30 years, is still elated about his career - a passion that his customers can see and enjoy at every appointment. Whether chignons or extensions, a new colour or look, the Hair Studio in Hamburg’s Neustadt district will simply make you radiate.

Numerous large mirrors in ornately decorated silver-dark frames, crystal chandeliers and flat-screen TVs, classic meets modern - at the beginning of the year, Mehmet Coskun opened his Hair Studio, located in Wexstraße. Here, in addition to the standards like a wash, cut, colour and highlights, he also offers an eye-catching service: chignons - creations for a special evening, wedding or grand celebration.
But Mehmet Coskun is just right for every day hairstyles too: ‘I have the courage and feel for design and styling. That’s why I love to cut. These changes are fun for me.’ No wonder that customers often simply come to the master hairdresser with the wish ‘just do something different’.
And what’s in at the moment this spring, Mr Coskun? ‘The colours are becoming lighter again. We’re using honey colours or matt highlights, natural hues without reds. Curls a bit like in the 1980s are coming back, however not perms but curls using curling tongs.’
The only thing missing now is an appointment - of course, they’re also available outside of the standard opening hours.
