Maharani
Delicious Indian cuisine
Fans in Munich have known the ‘Indian princess’ for a while, Hamburg residents and visitors now have the chance to experience her: owner Phera Singh invites you to enjoy the diversity of his country, just like at his Bavarian restaurant Maharani.
The apricot-coloured restaurant, with tables set in white and featuring figures of Buddha and Ganesha, the God of Luck with the elephant head, offers a range of dishes from 11.30 am to 3 pm: all-you-can-eat lunch buffet with soups, salads, starters and three main courses (EUR 6.50) as well as a lunch menu featuring a host of vegetable (EUR 5.90), meat (EUR 6.90) and duck (EUR 7.50) dishes.
Every Monday is Ladies Night. ‘Of course, men are also welcome, but we only offer the special for two women: pay one main course - get two’, owner and cook Phera Singh says with a grin. Tempting - whether curry specialities, meat dishes or tandoori grill platters, two women only pay for one main course.
Disabled people can enjoy a special accessibility offer: ‘A few tables are a bit higher so those in wheelchairs can enjoy a more comfortable dining experience’, says Phera Singh. ‘This side of the restaurant is also accessible from outside via ramps. And, of course, the toilet facilities are wheelchair-friendly too.’
With all this service, it will also come as no surprise that students receive a ten percent discount. Maharani - an Indian restaurant awaits you.
Open daily from 11.30 am to 12 midnight. Party service is also available.
